My hair-straightening adventure:
Monetary loss: 10 (years) x 4 (frequency/year) x RM 500 (cost) = RM 20,000
Average time spent: 10 (years) x 4 (frequency/year) x 5 (hours) = 200 hours
Yes, RM20,000 and 200 hours consumed for 10 years of hair straightening. Talk about the price of beauty. And I must say, I have had enough! All that just to look good. Just makes me wonder, isn't there any other way to make my hair beautiful without chemically changing my hair structure and spending tonnes of money? Thank goodness for
www.naturallycurly.com and the Curly Girl method. Yup, there is a way for us frizzie-dizzies to finally be able to handle our hair. And the great thing about it is, you don't need to splurge. Don't believe me? Try browsing through this thread to look at curlies who've successfully transformed their hair using the Curly Girl(CG) method: Before and After Pics.
The Curly Girl (CG) method (link)
involves using non-sulfate products on curly hair to make the curls
more defined and less frizzy. Below are the before and after photos:

It's quite hard to get the non-sulfate products listed on the Naturally Curly page here in Malaysia, you might need to purchase them internationally. However, after scavenging high and low for the same kind of products, I finally found one brand that is sulfate-free which is the Loreal Eversleek line available at Watsons in Plaza Angsana, Johor.
I absolutely swear by these products. Without them and the Naturally Curly team, I wouldn't have been able to free myself from going to the salon to get my hair straightened again and again. I am now loving my naturally curly hair! <3<3<3
